How Heavy?

Just curious and wanted to get a consensus on how heavy most peoples' bolt-guns are. I finished mine and the damn thing weighs 15.5 lbs, 16.5 lbs with full 10-rnd mag. Seems to be a tank. I did note that the USMC M40A3, which mine is similar to, weighs 16.5 lbs. Is this a standard or ideal-ish(?) weight that would work well for a comp rifle?

My comp rifles are about 16.5 pounds without a magazine.

That sounds about right, somewhere between 15 and 18lbs. Quality stock with sniper fill, scope, heavy barrel longer then 20 inches it all adds up.

My AI is 16 unloaded, 18 with a mag and the suppressor on.

my 300winmag is 17lb with a full mag. It sucks balls to hump around on long hunting trips.

I expect that my .308 Rem that will be done this week with Stiller DBM, McMillan A5, and Schneider M40 profile 27" barrel will weigh about 3lbs more with the same scope.

Mine isn't finished yet but we are looking at close to 18.5lbs. surgeon 1581xl, mtu 27", apa fat bastard, manners t4, nightforce nxs.... etc. gonna suck to move it any distance.

Mine is a 7SAUM on a long action and runs 16.5 without mag.

Mine weighs 12.5lbs as is on Pic. Border Barrel, Kahles 624i and E-Tac Carbon stock.

My competition rigs weigh 14 to 17 pounds. My hunting rigs weigh 8 to 11 pounds.
