How much of a bump do you think it will take to loose zero on my ss 10x scope? I have it zeroed for 100 yards, and im wondering because im going on a hunting trip tommorow and my dog nocked my gun over while it was standing up on its bipod on the living room carpet. Im not going to have time to test it before the hunt, so shuold I take the chane with this gun? Just want some opinions.

Re: How much bump to loose zero?

Maybe it would help to think in terms of how the bump compares to the forces generated in recoil when firing. The blow delivered to the scope and its mounting system while firing is pretty abrupt (high g's). If you think the fall the rifle suffered was significantly more energetic than what it experiences when it is fired, then you might be concerned. If it was roughly similar or less, you have nothing to worry about.

thnaks for the input guys. I just got back from my trip and actually got to test it before we went out and it was perfectly fine. What did suck though is that I drove 450 Miles for a hunting trip, and didnt see jack squat.
