How to Remove Geissele Swavvy Muzzle Brake?

Recently purchased a Geissele GFR 6mm ARC 20" Stratomatch rifle. This rifle comes with the their Swavvy muzzle brake.

I've read online that Geissele has a wrench for removing the brake.

Are there any Hide members with this rifle that have removed the muzzle brake, without using the Geissele tool?

Using a reaction rod, I tried a strap wrench. I also tried wrapping the locknut with leather and a pair of Knipex pliers. Neither were successful.

I assume that they are using normal right-hand threads on the locknut. And would prefer not to damage the locknut.

Heat it up and use a Strap Wrench .

Sorry for the derail but in 2025, why the fuck is anything but a thread protector coming on a precision rig? Especially Geissele trying to sell a special wrench or over applying locking compound.
