Rifle Scopes How to retrofit a BDC/Turret

Re: How to retrofit a BDC/Turret

BDCs are not preferred or even desired for long range shooting as they are set up for only one bullet at one velocity in one environmental condition. Stick with standard turrets and a good data card.

Re: How to retrofit a BDC/Turret

What Rob said.

At distances where the BDC will be accurate irrespective of environmental conditions, you can easily memorize your dope - or just print it small, and attach it to your stock, or attach it inside your rear scope cap.

At longer distances, you will have to take variations in atmospheric conditions into account, and the BDC won't be accurate.

Save your money to spend on ammo and training.

From the link you attached......

Whether you get a BDC or not, is your call, but there is no question about that it needs to go back to the factory......
