Have a rem7600 pump that im looking to do a red dot to hunt. Curious about peoples opinions of the aimpoont h series vs h2s or anything else they feel is worth comparing. Have an rmr laying around not doing anything rn also. Opinions?

What’s your eyesight like? Unless it is really good you may find the aimpoint holds you back when hunting. Shooting with an aimpoint at a range is very different to hunting in different lighting and differing ground conditions.

I had an aimpoint H2 on my 7600 and replaced it with an lpvo and would not go back. Most of my hunting with this is 10-80m in thick to thinning bush on wild pigs.

If you are set on a reddot - aimpoint or fastfire.

While not in the class of Aimpoint, if you have Astigmatism or are cross eye dominant, you might consider one of the old school Armson OEGs.

Astigmatism makes the red dot look like a comet for you, or maybe like a cluster of dots, but the Armon being fiber optic will not cause that problem. I'd like to find other non laser based red dot options that are Astigmatism proof.

I've been using one on my Mossy 590 and the guys on the skeet field cant figure out how my scores are as good as theirs with their OU Berettas. It's really because the Armson does not have a limited field of view.
