Hydraulic buffer in GAP-10

Re: Hydraulic buffer in GAP-10

I was thinking about putting one in, but I have to get the rifle 1st. I have one in my 5.56 AR and its pretty darn nice. I'd like to hear what folks have to add myself.

Re: Hydraulic buffer in GAP-10

I was just curious. According to the manufacturer's propaganda it states that the difference is most noticeable in SBRs. I was thinking about putting it into a rig with a 20" match barrel ending an three chamber thruster-type brake.

I know they make them for AR type 308s, and wondered if anyone else had personal experience with them.

Re: Hydraulic buffer in GAP-10

I put an Enidine AR RESTOR hydraulic buffer from Brownells in my DPMS LR 308B and it seems to kick more than before installing it. The buffer is compressed when it is installed so it doesn’t actually buffer anything. I will give it another try at the range but at this point I'm not at all impressed with it.

Gunsmoke - There's a problem with your hydraulic buffer. It should not be compressed by default.

I have one installed in my Mega Ma-Ten with a 20" barrel and it works great. The sharpness in the recoil impulse is greatly reduced. Recoil sensitive shooters notice quite a difference between shooting an AR 308 with and without one.
