Hydro-dipping

Hi all...I'm trying to start learning how to do this hydrodip ping stuff and I was wondering if there was anyone out there that would be able to steer me in the right direction as to what compressors would be good to use with a spray gun for the priming, base coat, top coat, etc...I am using the company TWN for the supplies but am still a little lost as to which and type of compressor that would be necessary. I'm working out of my closet of a garage, so space is an issue. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from all of y'all that can help out! Thanks!

I'm a general contractor in Alaska, I have several air compressors. The only thing I can tell you that will really matter to you is the difference between oiled and oiless compressors. Besides function and durability the noise that is created by oiless compressors is normally far greater then oiled. Also oiled compressors last much longer. Find what CFM you require for your equipment and buy a compressor at least slightly larger than that demand . Then put the compressor on rubber sound isolators to help with noise.

Thank you very much. I've been pounding my head over which one to get and yeah oiless is the system I need, now it's just going to to be the size of tank that I think will be sufficient. Thank you for the advice.

One more thing to get if your going to doing any paint of any kind is get a nice high quality filter and regulator don't skimp on these. A few places to get these is your local Autobody supplier or some times not all the time the tool trucks will have them on sale.

Tool trucks? I'm still debating on which compressor I want to buy. I am going to use a devilbiss sprayer and it needs 9 cfm. I'm just so use to using rattle cans and the small compressor that I use my air brush with. I hate to waste time and money, like everyone else, so I really appreciate your time and any more advice y'all have to offer
