I’m involved in a very contentious divorce. My wife and I have no children, no substantial assets, and we both make good money although she has gone out of her way to make as little as possible for the 2.5 YEARS that this has been going on. I’m prior LE with 10 years experience. I’m also well versed in law. Her scumbag attorney has gone out of his way to weaponize the system as they have no case to support unequal distribution.
So they are attacking the one thing I love. My guns. There has never been any accusations of domestic violence/threats etc. My wife moved out 2 years ago but continues to break in to steal money and firearms. They send over an “appraiser” to my home literally 26 months into this. In researching him, he has no appraiser qualifications of any kind. No FFL, no appraiser certifications, no 6-20 All lines adjuster license(which I hold). Literally nothing. Then it occurs to me that there will be no independent witness in my house with us while he wants full access to all of my firearms and related items. At this time I turn him away and contact my attorney and inform him. I contact 3 local FFLs and all of them can do an appraisal in a day. 2 days later I take my firearms to the FFL and have them appraised at my cost. I then provide this to my attorney and hers. He says he can’t get an appraisal done before court which is 45 days away?! So he complains to the judge and wants sanctions. My attorney sucks (second one). At the end of the hearing the judge orders me to relinquish all of my firearms and all related items to include presses, dies, bullets, everything in 24 hours.
I explain that this violates the 2nd and 4th amendment. He doesn’t care. I was previously ordered to disclose where my guns and assets were held and my wife subsequently stole $8000 and a firearm. Nothing was done. I spoke to command staff at 3 local law enforcement agencies and each one said that the order was illegal. So now I’m filing a complaint with the Judicial Qualifications Commission and Im going to try to beg an attorney I know to represent me. Trial is the 20th and 21st. Am I alone in thinking that this is absolutely preposterous?! The total value was like $8000… less than the value of my wife’s jewelry. In total she will owe me $166,000 and half of her pension yet all this over $8000 in firearms?! A civil rights violation?!

You need a top notch attorney with lots of experience, gonna cost you though.
Have friends and clients that have been through bad divorces and that is the one thing they have all said and agree on.
Nah, courts 99% of the time find for the woman. what he needs is for her to have an 'accident'.

I’ve blown through 20k on these two morons. First I fired in just a few months after she charged me $3500 and did LITERALLY nothing. I will pay… show me someone who knows WTF they’re doing. This couldn’t be more straightforward. No kids, no alimony, no substantial assets, no violence, literally nothing

Her attorney lies with impunity saying “he changed the locks and she had to use keys he didn’t know she had”. I provided the text message exchange where we talk about the front door lock being funny after the hurricane and I TELL her “I made you a set of keys for all the doors, the one with the red cover opens the back door”. My attorney says nothing. Her attorney says “he lied about one of the guns on the appraisal (admitting that she stole it) as it’s in my clients possession” attorney says nothing so AGAIN I jump in and say “the appraisal lists a 44 magnum you moron, the gun your client stole is a 38”. The judge yells at me. I’m honestly in total disbelief.
Let me give you a quick glimpse of how it started… she says you need to get a separate account. 6 months of my pay went into the joint account. I had no car payment and no significant bills… so 60k. She then says she’s keeping all of it and bank says I can’t access it since I opened an individual account and apparently signed off the joint account?! So she blows 10k on another boob job… yet I’m going through this over 8k in guns?! And some reloading equipment?!

People don’t think divorce be like it do. Logic and accountability are the first to go, especially if she leaves without abuse.

I think of judges and attorneys (especially family law) as literally the most useless corrupt and grossly incompetent group in this country. They can’t fix a motor, fix pluming, treat a medical condition, they are typically beta-male types, I mean what skill outside of laws made by other lawyers which are given weight because of the (mostly) good strong men and women in enforcement.
A police officer violates your civil rights and you make close to 7 figures, he goes to prison and is bankrupted. A judge does it and they can’t be sued civilly nor can they face criminal prosecution in 99.99% of cases. Anyone see anything wrong with that?? Yet that person decides where all of the money you have and will earn goes?!

Hire a P.I. yet to see who else she'd been banging and for how long prior to filing for the divorce?
Couldn’t care less. This divorce has been going on for more than 2.5 years. I just want to be done and receive what I’m owed under state statute.
Trial is supposed to be 10/20/25, but this corrupt decrepit loon may try to throw me in jail or fine me thousands of dollars before then

My son is going through the same thing, he's sueing for full custody of their 3 children.
I knew a guy that put a large quantity of cocaine under his wife's car seat and paid a buddy to T-bone her in an intersection, she got like 30 years...

How come you haven't changed the code on the safe or the front door? 2.5 years have gone by??
^^^^^^
WTF? Should have been done day one. All those guns and gold should have disappeared on day one. And opening a joint account in the middle of a divorce? Holy crap that was stoooopid on another level.
Sounds like the only thing you did right was to not have any fuck trophies with this woman.

Also, in Florida, you are allowed to sell guns to help pay attorney fees. And they can’t try to get that money out of you. It’s called the Standing Family Law order.

You could always sell your guns to a buddy to “help pay attorney fees”
