I Know That Amazon Prime Is From Teh Debbil, But ...

Bought new headlights for my F-250 and for my step daughter's car last week.
Installed mine yesterday and they look great.
Next pair will be Thursday in the middle of the day to teach her appreciation for those that work in the heat and cold.
She's not gonna like it with her long yellow finger nails...

I won't really miss prime as I really don't care for on line shopping

What I got was booted off of Amazon video streaming when their server apparently got overloaded and wouldn't let me log back on. I was about to shoot my television for willfull disobedience when the wife informed me that it was apparently system-wide.

Damn, Elvis, you better get yourself a posse.

"Japanese" steel yet made in China? No thanks, my knives are from a family owned company and made in Ohio. https://warthercutlery.com/about-us-2/

My prime membership expires this December, I will not be back and didn't mean to let it auto renew last year as it was. They've gotten worse than eBay for peddling worthless China crap and fake reviews.

I'll work out my shame somehow. Japanese companies commonly move raw goods and encapsulated techniques/technology to Chinese sites for fabrication, much like we engage Mexican maquilladoras. 67-fold damascene VG10 makes for a nice blade, although I'm sure that your selection is a fine product, as well.

Such ignorance to assume that something made in China is junk. It's also quite ignorant and uneducated to question that a manufacturer would use a material/component from another country of origin.

China has some of the world's most advance manufacturing plants and they are capable of producing very high end products in almost any category. It is also very common to import certain raw materials or components from another country.

It is a well-known stereotype that the Chinese are very intelligent, yet we trash them for making cheap shit. They make cheap shit, because we [the rest of the world] buy it. They also make quality products, but the vastly larger amount of cheap products dilute the "overall impression".

I have quite a few $200-400 folding knives, and my Chinese-made Reate's have some of the best fit and finish of my entire collection. There are a few other quality folding knife manufacturers in China, and I wouldn't question that there would be some excellent kitchen knives coming from there as well.

If you look closely at that knife...

It says "Freddie is the Devil" in Runes....

Just 'sayin...

Cheers,

P.S. Nice snag. Good kitchen knives are investments... not expenses.

Sorry..... but 99% of what comes out of China is pure shit....

They CAN do decent manufacturing.... but that is the exception, not the rule

Same here. The two-day shipping is falling by the wayside and the cost went up 20 percent. I'm done in August.
