I need a good hard case for a 51" rifle

[Swift]

It's going through a growth spurt and will be wearing a 26" barrel for a total length of 51" for the rifle with a brake. The 1750 measures at 50.5" and even if it fit it would be a bit too snug for my liking.

I don't wanna use the drag bag for this one because there's too much loose crap that comes with it like suppressors, paperwork, sling, bipod, data book, kestrel etc and I don't want em bouncing around.

What are you guys using?

I believe midway is running a black friday special on Storm 3300 cases. I think they are 53" but not sure if that's inside or outside. What rifle is it? I run a 26" barrel as well and don't come close to filling up my pelican.

I was just going to tell you about the Midway Black Friday deal for a 53" Pelican cse for $150... but guy above me covered it too!!

Plano Gun Guard Gun Cases (Formerly Doskocil Gun Cases). Inexpensive and not bad for occassional use. If you travel a lot or use it on a daily basis, I'd go with something heavier like Pelican.

It's a 700 in a T5A with a Phantom hider.

That Pelican on sale at Midway is only 50.5" internally...dangit!

The only other Pelican one I found that would work for me is the 1770.

I know, that's what kills me and there's no way around it. I only need to lose an inch or so.
