i built 2 10/22s, one black, one silver. i need a scope for the silver one. i would have put a BSA contender 6-18x44 but they sold out and its discontinued. ideally i would like both scopes to match except color. i want more magnification than 3-9x40 and i would like a mildot. i know its a .22 but i think mildot would come in handy for rimfire silhouette. we dont have to discuss this alot. i know nikon buckmaster works, both finishes are available, just no mildot in silver. i fould one in the swift line also, just same deal, no mildot in silver. so thats my quest. someone here had a simmons Aetec that looked nice. thanks for any help

I know nikko sterling make a silver scope, I'm fairly certain I've seen a few leupolds that were silver

Re: i need a silver scope for a 10/22

thanks, but id have to spend alot more on the 10/22 to justfy that much, lol. i hope to keep it below $300-$350 and i am giving up hope of finding two of the same model just different finish. the nikon would run $270-$320 and the swift is 180ish

Re: i need a silver scope for a 10/22

I have a silver Simmons on my 10/22 that I have had for about 15 years and its always been a good 22 scope but I too would like to have a mil dot on it.

I would just pick a scope, aluminim abrasive blast it then paint it.

Alumihide, Norells, and so on.

Re: i need a silver scope for a 10/22

that may work, but do i make the marks on the end you look in or the end you look out of? i could use a blue sharpie too so it illuminates in a pretty color, or maybe green so it will be like a starlight scope

Sorry to stray too far off topic but I believe that creativity keeps you going in this dismal and monotonous world.

I always figured it would be cool to tape a picture of a zombie or obsama onto my lens, so every time I would bust into a room or let loose on a crowd it would be OK.

lol, its all good man, but did you grow up under a power line? you know i shouldnt make myself crazy over scopes for a pair of double deuces. i could tell you were razzing me, i dont mind playing along

Re: i need a silver scope for a 10/22

I to am building a 10/22 with silver and have decided to purchase the Sightron in 2/5-10X32 SS for $289. It has 120moa of elevation adjustment which will easily get you out to 200yds plus more, 300 yds with a 20 moa mount.

Re: i need a silver scope for a 10/22

did you look at the nikon buckmaster 4.5-14x40 side focus or the swift 4-12x40 a/o? i cant find the sightron you mentioned in mu midway catalog. great member name and signature line by the way

Re: i need a silver scope for a 10/22

I think that Nikon has some cheapos (buckmaster?) in both blk & silver, though not sure on reticle choices.

look around, maybe contact SWFA and see what they think.

If you are willing to paint it, SWFA has some vortex scopes on closeout for $100, down from like $400...

Re: i need a silver scope for a 10/22

ill look at the vortex's. that buckmaster is $310 list, $270 and tax is the cheapest i can find it. well the one that i wanted as far as magnification. thanks

Sorry did not respond sooner. Check this place out. They have it in black and silver last time I checked.
