During the solstice is the time to change the batteries in the smoke detectors. Those used batteries are not to be discarded. If you store them with your rifles during transportation the weekend magnetic field will counter the effects.

Figured it out. I totally forgot about the Fall Solstice. I needed to point it South on the opposite side for approx. the same amount of time I was traveling during the Solstice. So, a friendly reminder to rotate your rifles. It's that time of year again.

This is the preferred method over rotation.
