All I have ever heard was top notch and tough as nails.

For this type of use I usually recommend a riser rail such as Badger's for the AR and a set of low rings on the scope so it's at a better height for both the AR and the bolt rifle.

Yeah those are Aadmounts. Follow the link I posted or click on Jon A's links in his sig line under the photos you are talking about. Jon A is the guy who posted those pictures and is the owner of Aadmount.
