If you could just have 5 guns?

Its about parts and caliber redundancy. Not only amongst your weapons, but whats going to be common around you. Nothing will suck more than being the only guy with a rifle in 5.7mm or some shit.

- 5.56 Mk12Mod1
- 5.56 SBR
- Krinkov or whatever you want to use for 7.62x39
- 9mm handgun (Glock19x)
- Barrett MRAD (its 308WIN, 6.5CM, 300WinMag, 7mm, 338LM)

Barret M107A1. 50 BMG. When animal , vegetable or mineral needs to be rendered ineffective right now , right there .

Gap10. .308. For mid range plus threats . Again right now right there .

Sig M400. 5.56. CQB to 3 or 400 yds . I'd rather a 1:7 twist but it will do the job .

Benelli M4. 12 Guage. Indoors threat stoppage . It puts out some serious right now right there .

Glock 17. 9mm. I want to go on record that for normal home defense , everything and anything else I prefer , like and have had intimate premarital relations with Springfield XD's . That being said , the sheer volume of Glocks out their lead me to believe that this is the platform to be symbiotic with . Being able to pick up a gun is one thing . Being a Ninja with it is totally different . There are too many factors to describe short of saying time on stick to descrbe a level of intimacy that is near telepathic with your weapon .

Soooo if Crew served weapons are FairPlay my list is amended:

-(2x) AAVP7-A7 (upguns included) with MICLIC trailer
-(3x) GAL-17s

Everyone can pile in the Tracks and we’ll roll with @HiDesertELR.

I would suspect that if you ever happen to actually get to live in a true SHTF situation it may be very different than what you imagine now it would be and you may find your needs different. There are so many variables it will be hard to predict a hard and fast solution.
My guess would be to have a good selection that you know well how to use, be familiar with even more that you don't own, have an idea where to get more, stock up on as much knowledge as you can and then get ready to be very flexible for what the situation needs.

a 22lr rifle. - small game hunting, self defense, signaling.
a 12ga shotgun - hunting game or fowl, self defense.
a .308 semi-auto - hunting, self defense, sniping, over watch, dmr/ssr.
a 9mm semi-auto handgun - self defense
a 9mm semi-auto - backup.

Platforms would be in whatever is a common chambering/what I can scrounge parts off of fallen aggressors for. So Glock 9mm, .308 bolt gun, AR-15, 12 gauge pump shotgun, and a .22LR bolt gun (not a common chambering per se but easy to have oodles of ammo on hand for).

All good except replace Glock 19 with sig 226 and the mrad with a axmc ?

It is very interesting that no one has included a 1911 on their list so far.

I didnt because I already have several and only included the Python because I sold it and want it back. Honestly, for CC I find the Glock 30 preferable. Carries/conceals better and has extra rounds.

these days i believe it would be easier to scavange 9mm ammo, even if you preferred to carry a 1911.
of course, i am sort of assuming you mean a .45 cal 1911.

I would rock a Dan Wesson 1911 in 9mm.

There is no caliber for the 1911 but the .45 ACP!

?

I agree wholeheartedly but the 147gr 9mm stuff is closing the gap and 9mm is sooo easy to find. FTIW I have 4 1911s and they are all chambered in the Lord's caliber. The 4th was my Grandfathers 1911 (made in 1915 so 104 years old) and aside from 2 barrel changes is still running strong!
