Hello every one. I am new here and this is my first post. I would like ask a question. If go ahead with getting a NightForce 8 32x56 with a illuminated reticle is that ok to use with the night vision scope mounted in front of it? I am going with a Mcmillian m40A5 7.62 Nato and do not know if the night vision will interfere with the reticle on my night stalks. Thank you.

Re: illuminated reticle & night vision

If you're using a night vision optic in front of your scope you won't need to turn on the scope's illumination. I find the reticle to be more crisp black than whatever color it turns with illumination.
If this had anything to do with your zero: as long as the night optic does not provide any additional magnification your zero will remain the same.

+1 what he asked.

Re: illuminated reticle & night vision

I use a PVS-22 in front of my NSX Nightforce and SN-3 USO scopes, and reticle illumination is not required at all.
8 magnification is pretty high, there will certainly be times when you would like more like 4 to 6 power available.
