i have a question, i have done metallic reloading for about a year now, and i'm kinda iffy about the shotshell pressures, the question is, is there any load data out there for 12 ga cheditte hulls and the 1 oz lee slug with red dot powder and 12S0,12S3,WAA12SL,or the Windjammer wads?

thanks in advance
Tim

cheditte hulls are straight type hulls such as federal, you will want to stick with the federal type wads(better gas seal in the hull)most loads should
use that type either shot or slug.
as far as pressure goes find a good reloading book and there should be a few loads listed.
as always start low and work up, it's not as easy to read the hulls for pressure signs.
as far as using red dot i am pretty sure your at the wrong end of the burn rate for shotgun powder for slugs if your trying to get good
velocity. you can ruin a shotgun pretty easy if you not careful and yourself, they aren't built to handle over pressure as well as a rifle.
if you are going to use red dot your only going to be about 1200 fps on the hi end with the burn rate for that powder.
