and I trashed the tracking number after not hearing back from the buyer in 3 weeks (figured everything was good). My question, is there anyway I can obtain a tracking# to prove that did indeed ship his item? I still have this gentlemens shipping address... it should be as simple as tracking 2 zip codes with both parties info...

I'll end up calling the PO but I thought I'd ask you guys.

3 weeks is a little late to be asking about a sent package. I ask for comms about when payment is sent/received, and when package is sent/received. Not everyone follows through, but I ALWAYS do, no matter what side I am on. If I sent a person a note saying, the item shipped today should be there by X, and I am contacted on (X + 14 days), then that person is SOL because I figured all is well and tossed the shipping info. If they haven't contacted me by (X + 2) asking where the product is, it is assumed that it was received in good fashion, and the transaction is complete.

I would however attempt to accommodate them on finding as much info as possible into the whereabouts of said package, but at this point it is not the seller's responsibility.

Try and see if the post office you purchased it from, has a record of it, a their own copy of the receipt.

    It's a long shot, but it's still a shot.

While this won't help K_4c, this is a reminder to use that camera most of us have on our cell phones. I always try to take a pic of the items in the box, the box itself, and the tracking number before I send a package. I'll text the pics to the buyer so that we both have a record and a pic of the tracking number. Take advantage of tech!

You know, 99% of the time I do the exact things.... this was such a small item (1 AICS mag) I figured, no biggie... Well, I learned my lesson.

I'm going to check with the PO today, if nothing gets resolved, I'll be responsible and refund the buyer ($50)...

How did you send it? Priority mail is usually pretty close on the 2-3 day thing. I had a guy send me a package once parcel post that took 2 days shy of four weeks to get to MT from the east coast.

I don't think you're going to have any luck. This is another reason I print my labels online, the info is electronically stored in my account forever, no reason to save a receipt. Online postage is also cheaper and you don't have to wait in line.

Parcel post. Maybe I'll ask the buyer for another week... Thanks for the info.
