Whats up everyone. Recently got my 6.5 PRC “Impact by Stuteville” barrel and finally got a chance to give it a go. 
I was really looking forward to shooting this caliber and i was not left wanting! I’ll start out with some specs first.
•Impact action with Mag bolt
•28” Bartlein barrel 1-8” twist heavy palma contour
•Impact 6.5 muzzle brake
•Hornady Match 147gr eld-m
Now to how it shot:
After finding an easy zero, I shot about 3 different 3 shot groups. These groups prob averaged around .5 which I was happy with for the first few rds down the barrel and factory ammo. Threw on my magnetosphere and shot 20 or so rds with it on and velocity was avg 2960 down the 28” tube. Numbers as far as es and sd weren’t real impressive but I’m not worried about these until the velocities start to settle down with more rds down the barrel. I then took off the magnetospeed and shot a few more groups at 100. It seemed to have shrunk up a smidge shooting some impressive 3 shot groups and tried some 5 shot groups as well.
Like I said I was happy with the groups, so I then went to run it out at distance. I don’t have pics from distance but it shot an impressively small group at 500yds that I would guess to be around 2.5-3”. I only had 790yds and at that distance the group was around 6-7”ish but vertical was good at only around 2” or so. Wind was at 4:00-4:30 from 7-10mph. So that kind of got me on fish tailing.
To end the day I ran 2 troops lines at 450, 500, 600, 650, and 775. Two rds at each distance and only dropped 2 shots out the 20. So overall I was very happy with how it shot and I’m hoping that once it gets more rds and settles in that the numbers will settle down. I’m really looking forward to shooting this cal more and thinking it’s gonna make a sweet hunting gun with factory ammo. Let me know you guys experiences with the PRC.
