I was wondering which powder would be better in building an accuracy load for a 300 Win. Mag., 180 grains. It seems like most people are using H4350 rather than IMR....on these forums. Perhaps I am wrong on that. I appreciate your advice. I need to try a new powder. I'm having a heck of a time finding the components that I want. It seems like IMR 4350 might be easier to find than H 4350. I haven't been able to find any H 1000 or RL-22 or some heavier bullets.

I shoot IMR4350 with 190's in my 300. It shoots better than anything I have tried execept H100V. Velocities are about the same with the H100V a bit more accurate, but both do well out to 1000.

I am working up a load for my Savage 300wm using 210gr VLD's and IMR 4350. Haven't checked velocities yet, but so far 63 grains is getting me MOA or better if I do my part. I have also used 4831sc, RL-22, and IMR 4350 when I was running 180gr SST's, slight favor to 4831, but all three are good.

IMR 4350 works very well in the 300WM with bullets 190 gr. and lighter. Use it in my hunting rifle with 185 gr. VLD's and only downside is that it is a little temperature sensitive. Wouldn't hesitate using it at all and my load is 70 gr.
