Well I have finally took the 20minuts out of my day to finish up a project that I have been wanting to do for awhile. I do alot of traveling out of state and thankfully I can carry in most of those states thanks to the addition of a Utah Permit. As most with a CHL know it kinda sucks to have your Pistol behind your hip (3-5oclock) when driving, especialy for long distance drives, usually comfort is not a issue but to quickly access your pistol because of a situation might be difficult when buckled in and sitting on the damn thing. I have seen a few over the counter option for in vehicle carry option but I wanted the ability to change platforms ( XD sub / 1911) quickly. I wanted the ability to use two holsters with two different places to mount. Heres what I bought to remedy the situation:
I spent a little more on the holsters since I bought them local but I ordered my connect kit and some other stuff from the site below in the links and they are great people.
BlackHawk CQB holsters - 1911 Gov(I cut this down so I can save space) and XD Sub CQB Serpa
Black Hawk Quick disconnect kit ( comes with two female and one male adapter) QD Kit
Black Hawk male adapter Male Adapter for holster
Badass hat I had to have Flexfit Infidel hat
The male adapter gets bolted onto the holsters, the female adapters get mounted wherever you want to have a pistol handy (car, desk, etc etc.). Also note that these holsters are all righthanded holsters so take into consideration where your going to mount and make sure you wont need a lefthand holster (if they make one?) Also Forbus makes a similar mount kit for there holsters. Alright here we go, picture time (for the people that dont know me, gun is unloaded with empty mag for pictures)
Female adapter bolted on inside a little cubby in my center console insert.

Male Adapter on holster

Holster mounted to Female QD mount

Same as above but with pistol

Heres what it looks like now that I put the center console insert back in the truck:

I hope this post helps anyone that can use such a option for there vehicle/home. Stay safe, this world is going to shit
Also know your state laws when doing something like this.
