Rifle Scopes Index "dots" rubbed off on Elite 3200 scope?

Troubleshooting my son's 700, .223 with a Bushy 3200 as it seems to have lost zero.

Bore sighted it in the backyard, re-torqued the rings. Though I'm not going to set the zero's until I get it back to the range later this week, I couldn't help but notice that the index dots on the turrets have all but disappeared...

Any suggestions on what will make a very small, precise dot or line for these reference points?

Not sure about the 3200 but my 4200 have molded divots in the turrets and mag ring. I just took a silver sharpie and colored them all in. They took a paper towel and some mineral spirits and wiped it off where it didnt belong. Hope this helps.

Thanks. A "dot" with a fine point Sharpie just might do it.
I have a spring-loaded center punch I was going to try as well.
