It will help you alot with breathing as you can really tell pulse and when you "run out" of air.
You should be able to find used ones out there for $200 to $300

RWS 850. Will make 10 fpe with co2 in .177. 800 fps with crosman premier hollow points. Uses $5 Air-source cartridges from walmart, and get get several magazines per AS. I am selling mine because I use it outside in winter, and CO2 is not for winter outside. It has a lead dust collector, so you don't have to worry about stray lead particles, or sound. 8 shot magazine, and tuned by the best 850 tuner Roald. Standard deviation of 2.6 fps. Has hammered many birds, but watching POI change when shooting too quickly in the cold kills the joy. If you are interested lemme know.

Re: indoor pellet gun

+1 for a RWS 850 Magnum. Should work just fine year round in the basement. 70 to 75 degrees, won't shoot hard at all, just what you want. 8 shot bolt action, repeater, wow. Add a Bryan and associates 9oz Co2 Paintball tank adapter and shoot hundreds of pellets between refills. Above 90 degrees I could get about 400 shots on a 9oz co2 tank.
