So I recently found these caps that were from an old crappy spotting scope. They are similar to lens caps or cameras where tension is placed from inside the objective to keep them in place.
Although its a great fit or my scope there is still not enough clearance for the barrel. Off to the dremel with sandpaper attachment I went and they are on the way for a perfect fit. I have to make another pass to round out but it's a success to me. I've been using the cloth scope cover and wrapping it around and it's been a pain in the ass. I've tried squeezing in the very thin Sightron cap but that was a mess as well, it got wedged in but less than 1/8" and not straight. The amount of material I would have to remove would render it useless and likely tear.
