Interesting Find! 9mm brass >>>> STEEL!!!

Well I picked up a couple thousand pistol brass this weekend from a USPSA shoot. Cleaned all of it with the SS media and all was Golden till I ran my magnet over the lot of brass. Well what I thought was brass. Half way across the pile, Klink, klink, klink!! WTF I thought! Then I looked and saw that all the S&B head stamps in the lot was magnetic!!!

You would have never known without the magnet! They looked just as golden as the rest of the brass!

Check you S&B STEEL (Well what you might think is brass!)

Boxer or Bredan primed?

If boxer, then I'll have to start paying a bit more attention, as I have a bunch of S&B in my rang pick-up box...........

I believe there was some stainless 45 acp at one time....GI stuff, anyway

All the S&B stuff I ever reloaded was brass. Definitely don't wanna try to reload steel.

I have a couple examples of 1941-vintage ACP steel cases. RA 41 headstamp I believe. Had a bunch that reloaded just fine, but split after 2 or 3 loadings. Better just as a conversation piece.
