Watching a Best Sniper Compition fron Ft. Benning Ga. 33 sniper teams are there. They didn't go thru every weapon but they did go thru the weapons from eight of the teams. Six of them had weapons with a max effective range of 800 yds. One LE teams weapons max range was 600yds while a Danish team shooting a 338 had a range of 1500. 33 total teams.
The first shoot was a unknown distance of 700yds. They got two shots. Only one team (army rangers) hit it twice) no ther team even hit it once. The next shot was a known distance cold bore 600yds. Only 8 out of 33 teams hit it.
