There's been very little advertising or media about the event it would seem, but the 2025 IPRF competition starts tomorrow, held in the UK.

There's meant to be a lot of media coming over for it bit so far all I've seen is stuff on Facebook from the GBPRA, IPRF and individuals. Probably some stuff on Instagram too I'd imagine.

The match is live on Practiscore so you'll be able to check the live results.
The shooting runs from Wednesday-Saturday, but registration and pre-shoot things started today (Monday).

Yes sorry, impact scoring as per the link.

First day of shooting completed today, factory, senior and lady shooters.

Open and juniors are tomorrow.

Looks like Factory is done Open will finish today and Factory winner will likely be 2nd overall , but honestly IPRF factory category is a joke MPA ,Victrix,Anschutz open rifles and folks with stock CZ and Tikka in synthetic and wood stocks in same division.

I believe the whole UK team is shooting Matrix Pro rifles, the Czech team is effectively the Anschutz factory team with the new APR 1727 (an amazing rifle).

A bit crazy really, as a standard CZ LRP or MTR isn't really much competition.

The 2nd day is about half way through, a very tight race for 3-10th in open. Will see how it plays out.

Here's a link to the team scores.

Overall team:
1, USA
2, UK
3, Canada

Open Men:
1, USA
2, Canada
3, France

Factory:
1, UK
2, Czech Republic
3, USA

Senior:
1, USA
2, South Africa
3, Australia

Women:
1, USA
2, UK
3, Canada

Junior:
1, USA
2, UK
3, Canada

The US certainly placed well in most team categories but they didn't wipes the floor with everyone, and the US didn't actually win that many of the individual categories.

It was good to see many of the other countries putting up some excellent shooters. Just like the centrefire IPRF in 2024 it's looking like PRS isn't just going to be dominated by the USA which is good for the sport.

Last time around in Italy it was different there was a huge gap equipment vise not just rifles but electronic levels and bags , this time around it was more of a level playing field and as it can be seen US was far far from dominating, only category won by US competitor was Ladies

There will be another survey showing all the equipment used by competitors, like they did after Italy.

But generally yes, outside of factory class almost everyone had a "modern"
PRS rifle, a few CZs and Bergaras in a chassis, but a lot of custom rifles too.

Factory class had a lot of MPA Matrix and Victrix rifles across all countries, there were still some "real factory rifles" though.

I think that in the future there will be more semi-“bespoke” factory rifles. Anshutz does it now too. A top tier “factory” Corvette is the same deal. Way simpler than building it yourself and becoming an amateur gun tuner after $$$$ frustration.

Bergara said there was going to be some new rifles announced, but I didn't see anything come out.
Not sure I'd want a Bergara though, one of the least reliable factory rifles I've ever seen.

It's a bit of a shame the factory class will end up being taken over by the custom factory rifles, but I guess they want manufacturers to start putting out turn-key PRS rifles so can't really complain.

The new Anschutz 1727 APR is a seriously cool rifle, and not badly priced. I'm quite tempted to pick one up over a custom build, now that Vudoo and RimX are not as reliable as they used to be.

IPRF has way to many divisions , and factory class would best be just done away with , now its stuffed with open rifles that are specifically offered to game the rules. Enforcing some sort of cost limit rule would likely need some work.

Hope Anschutz makes some larger mags for legarcy models , i am not to fond of fortner action , would take 54:18 over it any time of the day.

They make a 15 round mag for the 1761, which I think is going to be the action they push going forward.

The 1727 APR uses AICS pattern, which I think they'll do 15 rounders for.

I think factory division is ok, but for centrefire they have way too many.

Mil/Leo, limited, sporter, and suppressor divisions are all stupid.

At least factory division tries to encourage "innovation" for manufacturers, all the other ones don't.
Junior, and ladies both encourage more people to get into the sport.

Senior could probably go, it starts at age 55 which by all accounts isn't particularly old.
