Gunsmithing Is paint between stock and action a bad thing?

I'm nearing completion of my homebrew rifle chassis project and I'm looking into duracoating it to finish. Should I avoid painting the top/interior of the chassis where the action contacts it? Obviously its no biggy to tape it up, but I'm curious if anyone thinks it'd have an affect one way or the other.

I may of may not be bedding later on depending on how the rifle shoots mounted in my mediocre machining.

paint won't hurt it... you'll just have to take the paint off if you decide to bed it... most people only tape if the stock has already been bedded to the action
