That would be a fine rifle to start with but more importantly..... Find yourself a good piece of glass as once you outgrow your rifle you can take the glass off and use it on your next rifle. Also dont blow all your $$$$ on Rifle, Glass, and Gear get couple cases of ammo because you have to learn through experience!!!!
