Rifle Scopes Is this a redundant decision?

I currently have running on my AR15 a IOR 1.1-4 scope and have shot it pretty well in some the tactical drills we do at my local range, I am looking at adding a Aimpoint T1 with the Larue mount in addition to the IOR 1.1 - 4, am I being redundant? the Aimpoint would give me quicker acquisition at close range but I have done pretty good up against guys with Eotech's just wondering what the opinions are?

you could run the aimpoint, and just use a magnifier, or stay with the IOR

Yeah I thought of that option of the T1 with a magnifier, but I think you are right the IOR should be enough....

This is a good question. It's something I've been thinking about lately myself. I have not looked through any micro site but I think I can see the value of having one attached. I have been practicing acquiring targets with both eyes open on my NF 1-4x scope and it is not always easy. I think I will get the hang of it eventually but I think target acquisition might be a tad easier with the Micro.

This guy Costa looks like he knows his shit and certainly thinks there is value in a Micro site with a 1-4x scope: (scroll about 1/3 of the way down)

I see that it's listed as the 1-4x, but I wonder why someone would put a 1-4x on an OBR. I wonder if that's not actually the NXS 2.5-10x24..

I had planned on keeping the 1.1 - 4 IOR just wondering if it is worth it to add the T1 to the setup...

I am now leaning towards no and just putting the T1 on my AR10 that has a SS 10x42 on it...

I think it would be redundant on the AR15 with the IOR
