So I am pulling about 20ish .300BO Cartridges due to them being to short. I am seeing dents in the mouth of the brass. Is this due to over crimping? This was brand new American Eagle Brass that has been chamferred and deburred.

When I use the C.O.L., the bullet is not seated enough to catch the cannelure. I am thinking that is where the brass is pushing in on the cannelure, where it does meet it.To me that looks like the inside of the case neck isn't chamfered enough and the bullet is catching a section of the neck as it's seated, folding the neck down or taking a small chunk out of it.
They are 150gr Hornady FMJ-BT's... Plinking roundsIf your loading flat base bullets, could the base of bullet be doing that damage?
A Kinetic PullerDoesn't look like crimp damage to me. Do any of your loaded rounds have marks you can see? Second what cryptic said as well - what kind of puller?
Makes sense...Same thing happens to my brass when using a kinetic/hammer puller.
