    I worked a load backwards in JBM. Exactly 5.5mil at 708 yards. 175 SMK came out to 2600fps in a 20" 1:10 AAC-SD. 6200 ft elevation, 30 station pressure. 91deg.

The load is 42g H4895 in new IMI match brass LFC die used. Did I do it wrong?

Not really sure what you are trying to do. I ran your numbers in "shooter" and came up with 5.8mil to hit 708...5.5 mils for 655 yards....with a 100 yard zero

I am trying to figure FPS so I can print a drop chart. I don't have a chrony. I was exactly 5.5 mils at 708 yards measured with bushy 1600 range finder. Just want an accurate drop card.

Sounds about right...you have a good starting point. It will be interesting to see how your range card pans out at other ranges. If you are within a couple of clicks you've done well.

You need more information ie scope over bore for anyone to comment semi accurately

I left it standard in JBM (1.5 I think). I will measure it and update it.

I guess that would throw off the data. I just thought 2600fps with a mild load (42g) of H4895 seemed kinda fast out of a 20" barrel.

Scope height very much matters in figuring out dope from programs. You need a spot on zero at 100 and shoot 600-800-900 and 1k if you got it. That will give you true data. I've found stuff inside of 600yds can deceive you at distance.

Not sure if this means anything.

My DOPE for my CZ 750 .308 says 5.7 MILs when I was at 2400 feet above for 175 SMK's. I was banging steel and recorded for DOPE. Do not recall what size plate was. Probably 18 x 24. Temps were around 80 plus in PA. I was running 4064 @ 2610 or so.

    Seems about right to me.

Our range only has 708yd max. I will go to the ranch and try 1k to see if it matches. And check scope height.
