Just scrolling and came across this part-way through. Getting past the fact that I generally dislike Vice and their crap woke politics... and the people in the documentary were NOT snipers, but were mentally-disturbed murdering shitbags who terrorized a city for weeks...
It is the story of the DC Sniper. Having been in the NOVA/Md. area several times during that timeperiod, I have somewhat of an interest in the case and what drove these scum to execute 10 innocent Americans in Cold Blood... and wound three more.
The series is kind of interesting, at least what I have seen. And really well done and (dare I say) a really decent piece of journalism and documentary-making. It finishes Monday night. I am trying to record the whole thing to really see the whole thing from end-to-end.
IIRC, HMFIC was interviewed by some media outlets when this was going on. But before my time here. As the DC Sniper case made national news, anything that had to do with 'sniping' was front and center. Even though these two mentally-ill (and one of them illegal and skipped on bond) thugs have nothing, whatsoever to do with the discipline and ethos of a trained sniper... they made the term a pejorative for many.
Anyway, worth watching. At least so far. If I can stomach the ads. At least that's what fast-forward is for!
