You remind me of a college classmate of mine. She strongly believed that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven. Out of curiosity, I once asked her, "Well, if that's true, what's going to happen to all the Jews?" She replied rather coldly/"matter of factly," "Well... they're going to Hell!" Thank goodness we were talking alone on the outside of the campus where no one else heard us (the campus was, roughly 40% Jewish). I asked the same curious question to another classmate who I knew was a strong BAC. He made a habit of always sitting down at the cafe table after getting his meal, and very demonstratively saying grace... (ie. sliently, but with hands folded and head bowed demostratively, as kids are taught to do). It was clear to all what he was doing. No mistake. When he answered my question, at least he was a bit more "diplomatic" about it... ("Well, I don't know but, hopefully, God will work it out").
Trust me, I get it. I am fully aware of Christ's saying, "I am the way... the truth.. the light. No man commeth unto the Father, but by me." But remember, it was a Jew who said those words. I won't ever deny Judaism''s Historical link to Christianity. A link that, perhaps, is not as strong these days, but it's still there. Half of the Bible is about the Jews (Old Testament). The land where Jesus was born, raised and preached has significance to me. I want to see it, someday. Hopefully, it will strengthen my faith in Christ by being a witness to where he lived and worked.
And that is why I don't want it destroyed.
