A friend just got a new USO scope, 3.8-22x56 with the EREK elev knob and a #3 windage, in mil. 35mm tube. He needed help setting it up, zeroing etc. All my experience with scopes has been MOA except for a couple in mil which I sold soon after. I understand perfectly mils just prefer MOA. I do have my own USO scope but its in MOA. Anyway we get it mounted and put some rounds downrange and he's off by a few mils both in elev and windage. So I move the EREK knob down to correct for the high shot and move the windage 2 mils left since his shot was 2 mils to the right. since the windage knob was on "0" I moved it to 2.0 L. Well now the next hole is OK elev but 4 mils to the right. To make a long story short, I have to move the windage right to get the bullet impact to go to the left. I compared it to my USO scope and looking through both scopes the apparant movement of the reticle is different in both scopes when I rotate the windage knob to the L settings. So is this just a Mil thing or is the windage knob marked wrong?

Re: Issue with a USO scope.

not a mil thing. I would just call USO. I'm sure they would be able to figure out whats going on. Sounds like internal probs if your reticle isn't moving the right way.

Re: Issue with a USO scope.

Is the windage knob on the right or left side, as USO builds them both ways. On mine US #3 1/10 MIL windage is on the right, and left windage would be clockwise, rotating away from the shooter.
