This crazy thing was at the door when I came home today. I hope I can figure it out, looks like a nice piece of gear.

Even the dog was admiring it.

DLOC or side pressure?

Re: It just appeared

Used mine earlier today. Was on top of a shoot house and they had steel U bolts through the block walls to use for rappelling. Also had a section of conduit running along the wall. Folded the legs up and it dropped in there like they designed it for that purpose.

***A worthwhile upgrade is one of these pins from McMaster Carr. It will replace the steel pin used to lock the elevation and make changing holes a lot quicker and easier.

He is a traitor, he's a momma's boy now. I'm only good for a few minutes.

can you clarify which pin "6752 products match your selections" makes it tough to find the right one.

I will have to check when I get home and post the part number, I thought it would go directly to the page I had pulled up when I copied the link but apparently not. I can't get on their website with my phone for some reason.

If you want to find it on your own just look at my picture above to see which style I used. It's an aluminum pin, 1/4" diameter, 1" working length and the price is in the $17 range.

That's where the dog went!!!!
I'll have Kim pay closer attention to the contents next time...

Phylo is right. The quick release pin from McMaster Carr is the bomb.
I use mine all the time.

Re: It just appeared

I use this one:

http://www.mcmaster.com/#pins/=9df1wy

Ring grip push button. With a little bit of 550 cord should I drop it in the field.

I believe it's the 3.5" version so I can reach up and tag it without moving my cheek hold.

Very use friendly should I set up with left or right handed holds.

PS..we were out shooting on Tuesday when a Yote hauled ass across the range. Rolled in on it about 30 degree to starboard, took the shot at 10 degrees to port. Talk about no notice moving practice.
The pan feature worked perfect.

Re: It just appeared

No intention to sidetrack/derail this thread but rather for public record I submit the following;

In the photo posted above by Phylodog, I see for the first time what I have been accused of by the maker of the tripod of copying.

For the record, the M14 bipod, was my inspiration for leg positioning, not his tripod.

Again no malice intended to the OP or others that have posted to this thread.

Last, while I have never seen or held this tripod, I do like the concept and know Scott is doing his best to deliver them to the market for which I wish him the best.

Sincerely,

Kasey
