My biggest fear is that enough people scream loud enough for the Government to "Solve" whatever issue is crawling up or collective asses and said government actually does. At that point, we all almost always lose.

The idea behind America is to have a country where nearly everyone absolutely rejects limitations on freedom to the point they'd kill your ass if you tried to limit it hard enough, respects that people are different as hell, do not give a fuck, and want nothing other than to live their lives the way they see fit, without any goddamn fucking assholes trying to fuck shit up for them or take what's theirs.
One of the most obvious implications here is that there shouldn't be any agency regulating what type of people are allowed through, outside of some simple basic filters like:
Do you speak the language?
Do you swear to be loyal to the American way of not fucking with people for no damn good reason, and not wanting to be fucked with?
Do you swear to do whatever it is you need to do to be a better American whenever whatever bullshit other country failed to prepare you for this level of awesome?
Do you give enough of a fuck about America to read about its history and processes to the point you can check some boxes on a test and mostly get them right?
Then welcome to America, motherfucker. We are glad to have you.
That's a pretty basic set of filters. They're good ones, though.
The rest of the process comes from WE THE PEOPLE.
There are some folks who can pass that filter, but later emerge as a thing completely contrary to the spirit of that filter. e.g, they want nothing more than to fuck with people for no good reason, they hate the American way and want to destroy it, AND they don't even speak the language except when speaking it is absolutely necessary to them. There are others that completely bypass it altogether.
It is our responsibility to be decent human beings but to also look out for not only our own interests, but also the interests of those we care about. Things get hard when you tried being nice but there's still something about this person that pisses you off enough to say, as a business owner, "I will no longer serve you. Your money is no good here."
What has failed to happen in the metropolitan areas, in theory, is that the communal power of the people in small areas doesn't translate to larger areas because no individual can know everybody, and there's no way for the individual to know everything that's going on.
What needed to happen on an individual level was for someone in some place to encounter an asshole, treat him well until that was no longer warranted, and then let everyone else know that this dude is a piece of shit, fuck him, make him know he's not welcome. That guy now has a few choices to choose from, but let's suppose he then decided to go somewhere else and be less of a piece of shit. Great. Welcome to America, motherfucker. Suppose he didn't... Same shit happens, he gets rejected. He can move on or not, try to be decent or not, but whatever path he chooses, if he refuses to be less of a piece of shit, no one will help him or do business with him. Join or die, asshole.
You multiply that scenario by as little as tens of thousands across the country, and within a generation you'll have folks all over the damn place growing up knowing that 'people like that' aren't compatible with the American way because they just cannot resist fucking with people, fucking shit up, and being fucking assholes. DO NOT help them. EVER.
What sucks is that this process was hooked by some social engineering pieces of shit and charismatic idiots, and they completely fucked up the natural features of this thing. They figured out how to control the way people feel about things people said when those people said those things that way. They used this technology to make people feel the same way about decent folks as they would about complete pieces of shit by crafting a narrative that ticked all the same emotional boxes. The result of this is fucked up community filters with catastrophic results like slavery, burning witches, and all the usual bullshit the same motherfuckers that started this shit use to convince us in our institutions that we are bad people because they were able to fuck with us in the ways you read about in the textbooks of the last few decades.
It is for this reason that we are now in our current situation, where there are a huge percentage of legal Americans that hate America, and a huge percentage of people that aren't even American, but are in America, want to fuck with America any way they can, and receive all the benefits some communist faggot is trying to give to them/sell to someone else, EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE COMPLETE FUCKING PIECES OF SHIT.
So you've got some ISIS supporting motherfucker giving a speech to people that are OK with this dude in some obvious 'look at how strong and numerous we are' display of bullshit, and I can't help but think we the people have failed to let these cocksuckers know they aren't welcome here.
