Not really, I lived all over AK for 12 years and its a purple state at heart. They have elected plenty of dems as long as they don't mess with gun restrictions. Doesn't surprise me at all as all my old military buddies up there said they supported Murkowski. Take the tin hat off for a change....

Here is a breakdown of the round count. The thing that screwed this is there was only 14% of votes going against republican party in the first round. Which means the rino ran as a republican and still got >30% of the dems votes.
