I have a JL Barbee knife from Ft. Stockton, TX. It is a fixed blade skinning knife with a leather sheath and a parallel belt loop on the back. The number on the knife is 907......from my reasearch this indicated the number of the knife in sequence in the year it was made. However, I'm unsure about the number on this one. I'm trying to find a value for this knife. I've seen them from $150 up to $750 and higher. I know people in his family were collecting his knives at one time. I'm not sure if they still are. Does anyone know how/where I can find a value for this knife?
