I`m not sure if this is the place for this, new to the board, and just need some direction. I received this JP Ent. AR10 in trade for a 556, and I`m baffled about what to do for optics. I would like to know what the best bang for the buck might be for this particular application. It has a 20" barrel (I believe). This is the model that can be shot as a single shot or semi-auto by adj. gas pressure on the side of the receiver. I would also like to know an approximate value for the rifle. It is built on an Armalite receiver. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chad.

Order the popcorn! Can you give us an idea of the configuration of the rifle?
Entry, Target, Varmint, Hunting, weight, trigger, range envelope etc..
Anything from a red dot reflex to a 6.5-20 variable would be appropriate...depending...
One of the best buy general scopes is on sale at Natchez for about $230
Burris 30mm, 3-9 TAC with target knobs, BDC and finished in a sexy military green.
I bought two!

So what your saying is you can adjust gas pressure so it wont cycle the next round and its one shot, each time? If you dial the pressure back you can run the whole mag for one trigger pull equals one shot?

If thats the case you probably have a target style rifle. Id say anything from a 3-15x50 power scope would be just fine on it. I have a JP Rifles upper in 223 and I love it. extremely accurate.
