Hunting & Fishing Jr & I Florida fishing

I took Pete Jr from Corbon down for some fun in the sun after ASC last week. The fishing is a bit off this time of year but we still managed to catch some good fish. Pete has never fished salt water at all so I took him out for some Jewfish. However he seems to be somewhat of a shark magnet. He only hooked one big one and it was putting my Accurate Twin Spin 12 to the test until the line broke. Needless to say we never turned that one.

We went out of Longboat Key. I have a friend there and we always stay with him. I'm always up for wetting a line if I have the time. All we need to do is plan ahead for it and do it.

Red's and Specks, don't get much better than that. That one is a hog by the way...

I know they get bigger but I haven't caught them. I've caught some larger reds but not out on the flats.
