picked up a savage MKII FV-SR today have not took it to the range but have high hopes for it. any one else have one and how do you like it and what upgrades if any have you done to it???
yea got me some devcon right here for it, it already had bottom metal from savage. wish it came in SS but blued only
but 325+ tax out the door with my super customer, cash only discount, very happy about it. very good solid looking system, think im going to open up the channel a little bit more and i don't know if the stock is ribbed or solid inside but will fix it up and give range report as soon as i can.
the only thing i cant find out, is if the rail is a 0 moa or a 25??
if you don't mind me askin why do you care what the height of the rail is? Its a .22, go shoot it

I have one and so does my brother. We both really like them. I wound up with a boyds tactical stock, murphy precision 35 min base, weaver 3.5-10 mil mil.
both rifles shoot great with wolf match.
Both rifles took a while to smooth out the bolt, but other than that no issues.
curious, i know a few ppl who shoot out to 200 yrds, the round cci drop 18.5 inches i guess i dont know what the exact table is, but you probably cant do that with a 0 moa, it was a question.
I posted pics of my best group in the mkII fv sr hookup thread. The bolt was really rough but after a few hundred cycles it seems to be better. can't wait to get a boyd's stock. Do all of them fit without too much work?
I just picked up my fv-sr on Wed. Have not gotten to shoot it yet.
I was looking to replace the stock with a Boyds tacticool as well. From what I understand, you'll need new bottom metal and trigger guard. DIP makes them.
Correct. And Longer screws! <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Sp2Pilot</div><div class="ubbcode-body">I was looking to replace the stock with a Boyds tacticool as well. I did all that and after taking it into the field one time I pulled the boyds back off and put the factory cheap plastic back on. It's cool looking and all and makes the rifle feel more like a centerfire off the bench, but I feel it's too bulky for carrying around looking for rabbits.
I just got one too and will post pics when Its together..... with rifle, stock replacement, scope and accys.... I got about $800 invested so far... not counting the Titanium suppressor ;-)
Would love to see this $800+ rifle..<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Twisted .308</div><div class="ubbcode-body">I just got one too and will post pics when Its together..... with rifle, stock replacement, scope and accys.... I dropped mine into a Boyds Tacticool stock, thats about it. It has been a tack driver from the 1st round. I love the sound of the suppressed fire...just the 'tink' of the firing pin.

comes with a 0 MOA , i put a 20 on mine and a bushnell 10x elite milmil and it was great. I really miss that rifle. Also the boyds tacticool stock and bottom metal is a must. That was the first thing I did when i bought mine.

thats why i sat on my couch and cycled the hell out of it every night while I waited for my my tacticool stock to arrive. Really smoothes out nice after a while.

pretty sure only savage makes them. Also to the OP, any thoughts of getting a can for that rifle ?
