Hey does anyone have any insight why AI went from their unique two rows of three lugs to just a simple three lug bolt? Guess I never payed attention to the change and not a lot has been said about the matter as far as I can tell.

The short action has always been a three lug bolt. In fact, you can take the bolt out of an 1991 AIAW, throw it in your AX, and it'll headspace and function just fine.

The AWSM is a two row of three lugs bolt. I believe the AX .338 is as well, though I do know the bolts are not compatible between the two and there were some updates.

    what is an AT?

does the Badger M2008 use 6 lugs on their short actions or just long actions?

also is the ring with the lug mating surface replaceable in the AI short action like the Badger?
