Hello Folks,

I would like to tap Into your Wisdom and experience.

I have newly aquired a Kahles 312i and already have a 4-16x50 PMII.

Always had PMIIs so far. The 4-16 and 3-12s.

Platform: 308 Win Bolt Gun 18"
Intended Ranges: 50-300m (maybe up to 500m)

Should be a alround rifle from plinking up to hunting.

Which scope would you pick?

Both are Mil/Mil
PMiI is single Turn
Kahles DT (cant imagine using 2. Revolution)

Pmii p1 bryant reticle
Kahles AMR reticle

Pmii analog
Kahles with ilumination

The kahles seems to have a nicer eyebox at lowest power
Thats a bit fisheye ish with the Schmidt and Bender

Agree with the comment so far. You’ll be able to tell best.

I’ve owned both, still own my 4-16x50 PMII.

If you don’t have a strong preference on reticle, illumination would be the only other main point. I assume by analog you mean the PMII isn’t illuminated. If you’re hunting in low light the illum will probably tip the balance to the Kahles. Otherwise I like the PMII better.
