I recently installed my Kahntrol clamp on muzzle brake. My thoughts... When you measure/order your brake, most models slightly overlap in size by a few thou. The site recommends going with a tighter rather than looser fit so I ordered one that was .005 larger than my muzzle. It was indeed tight. Very tight. I had to use my dead-blow persuader to seat it on fully. In the process I scratched the factory cerakote on the muzzle. This doesn’t overly concern me due to the brake covering said scratches but it might someone else. Once seated it was very difficult to level due to the tightness. I was able to however by inserting a wood dowel thru the brake’s ports like a T handle. At this point it was smooth sailing torquing the Allen screws although I think it would stay on without the screws !
As for the function- I mounted it on my Kimber police/tactical in 300wm. I’d say recoil was cut by at least 50%!
Overall I’m pleased. $149. Got it in six days. Looks good. I’m out!
