    Especially for Calf killers .
Coyotes also mauled one of there farm dogs & left a hefty Vet. Bill . Got a call & went out 2 days ago to checkout about 110 Lb. calf that was killed, Momma tried to hide & stash/hide it in some thick but the Coyotes found it . Owner said, there were 7 coyotes back the night after the calf kill to finish the scraps . Been raining shitty wet past 2 days so I pussed-out on standing in the rain all night . So last night it ' Stopped Raining ' & i went Out with a vengeance . These 3 were the ones to came-in, so they got there medicine 1st .

This area is crazy Thick with coyote Dens also but most are pretty schooled-up, as most farmers will draw a rifle on them on-sight . I heard 3 different Huge group howls last night out of my area .
Real dark so I worked standing-up & worked-off the Tri-pod & worked the bottom land of one of the pastures near where they ate the Calf . Was also Dark absolute ' Zero Moon ' last night with just some stars and clear crisp 32 deg. with some Frost on the Gun metal & gear when I finally packed-up . Frost on the tri-pod & metal XLR chassis . & that is something I really hate compared to the standard wood stock & shooting in the cold . Metal AR or other metal modular rifle stocks suck the heat out your hands .

    Been working great as a Night-only platform . w/ 16" Bolt 30-221/BLK suppressed with 110 grn. Sierra Varminters .
I worked my spot for almost 4 hours to get these 3 coyotes . And I regularly work a hunt stand/hide for 2 or more hours . Also I don't usually ever leave after one coyote shot . I will let the body lay & not move and then let area cool-off a bit & start right back in on trying to call another one in .
Didn't hand-call last night, just used electronic . Used the decoy foxpro Jack-in-the-Box about 50 yards out on 2 coyotes when calling them . Then put Jack Box away & called the last in with the pocket squeaker to draw him in after using Electronic call brought his in pasture .

I will let it cool down for couple days & try it one more time out on this Moon cycle . Then I wont go back for few weeks to this farm . Might get one or two more in couple days, but the Coyote Bad JuJu smell is all over that pasture where I had to drag there dead carcases up-hill for 800 yrd . & haul them out last night .

Sometimes, it's just worth the time and effort (& freezing fingers) to kill a couple yotes! Good shooting and patience.

I boof'd a shot on a gray fox the other night, not 20 yards from the barn.....Doh!

    Cheers,
    Breeze

One more family member returns to the scene of the crime & 1st come 1st serve on the bullets .
real dark out no moon . I watched him for a minute, He came-in real cocky . about 125 yrds out & ignored my pocket squeak . I watched him sniff around & take a Piss & then aggressively scratch a patch of ground with his rear feet . Then I Dropped his Ass .

Nice work man... we're just starting to calve our 500+ head, and after killing easily over 100 dogs this season with most of those on HD video, I can still hear the bastards outside my window... I would like to do the Night thing, but way to hard to film, FUN none the less, but hey... my Rotty needs to have his fun tearin shit up too, so I'll leave the night to his 85lb meat head...

Ya your HD really looks good . I like the way I can open-up & put your Vids on the bigger full-size screen & watch. Lot different terrain for coyote hunting than here on West side of Oregon valleys . Nice open country visuals.

Man the farm were I been hunting these coyote are checking daily for newborn Calf . the owner is trying to get them in the barn @ night but most time the Cow just wants to go off & away by herself to drop the Calf & those coyote are just hanging out and cruising threw checking every day .
The Four I killed the past couple days are just a spit in the bucket . When the surrounding area lights up with group howls once or twice a night . It is ridiculous in uncountable numbers .
I think this is also why I see NO Deer here @ night . Everywhere else I coyote hunt @ night around different parts of the county I see deer all the time @ night pretty regularly & especially the Blacktail because they are pretty nocturnal anyway around here . Here in this particular area I see NO Deer .

Those fuckers catch on way to quick & they know that I am out there now on that farm property just with popping the few I got out of them already .
But talking with the owner . There is a large dairy down the road with big bunch of new-born right now . They will loose several calf when birthing . ( Not Coyote ) just some don't make it in the large numbers they have in that business . I think we are going to ask for one or two of the dead newborn soon as the Vet. gets through with them . Haul out & set them out for bate . Let them chow-down for a couple night's & get comfortable again . Then I will bang a few more as they come back .

Just got back home little while ago from glassing for Coyotes till dark . Heard and located a bunch & watched a nice little Elk heard .
I Coyote hunt 90% of the time only at Night . It's a bad disease . I do a little daytime coyote killing, but not very much the past 5 years . I used to use only AR15 .223 suppressed @ night . but last 1-1/2 year I only been using 30-221/BLK, Boltgun suppressed .

I have raptor-6 I use for a spotting scope but I never hunt with it . I only go out hunting with PVS-14 on head & I use top quality IR on my rifle . I use a small surefire IR on lanyard hang from my neck also .
Then I carry 'all my shit' in a small black backpack that has Jack-box & electronic call w/extra speaker and few other small items . But If I am Not carrying the Foxpro Jack-box . I just carry 'all my shit' in a large fanny-pack .
& then Sometimes I only carry a Pocket-squeak & no electronic or other calls . & I just Kill coyotes by ambushing them if I know there travel routes around Den location .
So when out walking & hunting in the night . I only have Helmet-NV on my head & I have rifle slung on shoulder & either the Fanny pack or the small back pack & that's It . Then wearing only 'dark Soft ' cloths for quiet moving on foot . I try to stay & work as light & quiet, mobile as possible for hunting coyotes at night .

OK, Then There's the Tripod . & It is a ' heavy metal ' old Bogen that is worth it's weight in Coyote ears . I modified it with a Quick Detach, Lever Pic. release mount off the QD plate on tripod head . & Tripod rides in a small custom carry-bag that I sewn for it .
I carry that Tripod everywhere I go & hunt @ night . I been working the AR & Bolt-rifle off that thing for few years now @ night for coyotes & I am a convinced that thing is my biggest night tool accessory & I am very proficient working the rifle off it . I don't leave home without it .
At night I try to always hunt Coyote standing erect when at my hide/stand . & that's why I like it real Dark . My rifle is silent & on the ready on-top Tripod, right next to me . It's cocked & hot with the IR mounted & on-ready with remote touch-pad . I am standing-up on my feet, free to watch, scan, search & quietly move my body & work my calls . I am not touching & handling my rifle . I will also say that I shoot 90% of all my coyotes @ night standing up .
I got the advantage for height & field of view also . The Tripod also lets me set-up under tree's, behind brush & shoot over the top . Or I also like get in-front or with my back against barbwire fence Brush & small trees . I try to slip-in or behind anything that will shadow me with cover from all ambient light @ night .
I try to work as light & quiet as possible for hunting coyotes at night . Plus I try to only Night hunt the majority of the 2 weeks of the month with the 'Least' amount of Moon ambient . I like it 'real dark' to work in . If there is any tiny sliver of Moon what so ever . I will position myself in & under trees Or anything that will hide me in the night shade . Any moon over a 1/4 is a real hazard for them seeing shadow movement on me .
