For those of you that have used this action:

Who built your rifle?

What is the cocking effort like?

Is it easy to bind?

Can any Rem 700 trigger be used on it?

How does it do in dusty conditions?

Any problems you've had?

PDC now makes a black bear inlet, xlr does, and I would imagine manners and or McMillan does too. They are sweet actions. Pretty damn effortless to open. Really nice

I've had a black bear since November, you'd have to try pretty hard to make it bind. I can't find anything to critique, honestly. It's decently slick from the box but once you run it and it's broken in it's verrryyyyy slick.

I've been practicing with mine for a couple months now. I recently put it in an XLR Envy and absolutely love it. Unfortunately I have had a pinched nerve in my neck area and haven't been able to shoot in about 3 weeks. I'm finally feeling a bit better so I will be running the Black bear at a match this weekend, as long as my neck holds up.

As far as binding, you would have to really try to bind it up, one of the best actions I've ever felt as far as that. I know smoothness is a touch debated but I'm a feel type of guy and love running an action that just feels good. This black bear is as good a feeling action as any I've ever tried. I love my impact action but I'm really looking forward to using the black bear this weekend.
Good to hear, I hope your match goes well.

Hi,
I was just wondering what people are using for chassis with your Black Bear actions. I was hoping to use a MPA but it seems like it may be another few months before I can get one. I am now thinking of maybe just going with the XLR chassis. Has anyone tried out a PDC chassis yet.

My buddy has the 1st PDC black bear chassis. He loves it. I would be completely happy with the new gen JV fill envy with a black bear in it. Dont hesitate.
