I am considering one of the new MSR Khales, but have a question: Us S&B guys have always had JerryR here to take care of us if we ever have an issue with our S&Bs. Does Khales have someone ( in the US) that can fix our scopes if there is an issue? I would hate to have to ship to Austria if something happened.

Having JerryR has been such a blessing to S&B owners. It is truly one of the biggest benefits of owning such a high quality scope, knowing that there is someone here in the US that can get it fixed fast. Hes great.

I have no personal experience with them, although I do believe Ken Khaybes at Khaybes Optics is the North American contact. I believe he is to Khales what Paul Lange is for Premier/Optronika, and Jerry Ricker is for S&B. He is on the site under Khaybes Optics, and am sure he can help with any questions. Hope that was what you were looking for.

I asked about this at the Cup, I was told they can do service here, if its something major where the scope has to go back to Austria you were looking at pretty quick turnaround. I don't want to say how long as I don't want to be wrong but I remember it being pretty reasonable.

Hello and good morning all,

I do some service work here in the states for Kahles. if you should have an issue, send the optic to me and I will open it up and inspect and diagnose. If there is something that I can't remedy quickly, I do send them to Austria with a 30-45 day turn time, which they have been great at beating. Most of our warranty work has been coming back within 2 weeks. As we grow, I will be able to handle more of the service here in the US.

Regards, and please feel free to contact me if you need anything,
Ken
