Well I just went and saw Kick ass tonight, since it opened here tonight. At first I wasn't sure I made the right choice but as soon as Hit Girl (CHLOË MORETZ age 13) started calling every buddy cunts and stabbing and shooting people I was hooked. She is the real star in this movie not kick ass. There is lots of head shots and stabbings in this movie so I wouldn't recomend you to bring your kids to it. Nicolas cage plays Hit girls strange father that pushes her to be all she can be. The comedy can get alittle boring but all in all it was worth the 8$.

Re: Kick-Ass

I saw it this weekend. It was pretty good. I think that Hit Girl was intended to be the obvious foil to Kick Ass. I actually thought that she was going to be a figment of Kick Ass's imagination. The movie ended up less complex than I thought it would be, but it is a pretty good riff on the superhero theme. Definitely not for kids.

Re: Kick-Ass

My wife and teenaged daughter went to watch it and have sense told me I need to watch it. They both were very impressed with the guns in it and are completely insistant on me watching it. May get it done this weekend.

Re: Kick-Ass

Finally saw it with Comcast On Demand. Very fun movie, and some great guns in there. It was different than I expected, but definitely one I'll see again.

Re: Kick-Ass

Also, that girl that kick ass hooks up, is fit!</div></div>

Vman, just finished watching it a few minutes ago. Thought it was a pisser of a movie. Have to agree about Kick Ass's girl too, she is fine.

Re: Kick-Ass

I was watching Kick Ass with the kids yesterday and we got to the scene where Hit Girl kills a mobster by throwing two kitchen knives.

My 11 year old daughter then says out loud, "She should have used just one knife." I looked at her and she followed up with, "Save the other one for another bad guy."

I didn't think it was going to be a training film.:D

I don't know if this is funny or sad. Wait till you are sleeping and she sticks a kitchen knife into your stomach and gives it a good turn before pulling out and wondering why daddy is not feeling so good. She is three so let her be a kid that is why the movie is R. JMHO

Re: Kick-Ass

I thought the movie was great. I was expecting it to be some dorky geek's eye view of being a do-it-yourself superhero comedy. While I found it funny it was very different than what I expected and feel it is more action than comedy and the action was awesome. If it didn't set a record for the most head shots in a move it had to come pretty damned close.

Re: Kick-Ass

I had my wife pick it up at Red Box and she just couldn't believe I wanted to see a kiddie movie.

She brought it home and was like, "This is rated R?" As soon as hit girl went all stabby she was like, "Holy Shit!" lol

Re: Kick-Ass

Yeah, my son wanted me to let him watch it because he said it was PG-13. I told him I wasn't an idiot and know it is R-rated. He should try a new game as every movie he wants to see he tells me is PG-13. Definitely not one for the kiddies, LOL.

Part 2 comes out in 2012

Re: Kick-Ass

Hands down the funniest /most extreme part is when Hitgirl, while using night vision, stabs a bad guy in the chest and then automatically puts one in his head with an HK 9mm for good measure. Have a young daughter myself, I wonder what kind of waivers a parent must sign to get a young one into a movie like this.
