Being that I am new to this community, I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this post.

I recently purchased a KonusPRO M-30 8.5x-32x for my Rem 700 .300 win mag sendero. (Which I just ordered a MCS-T5 from the GB here on SniperHide) I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The scope cost about $300 and the clearity to me is great. I have seen some post on this forum asking about the Konus scopes and spotting scopes etc....and I just thought I would add my 2 cents.

The scope is a 30mm tube throughout with a 52mm objective, which lets in plenty of light. It has 1/8 M.O.A. adjustmets and lockable windage and elevation turrets. (Which I love) I recently sighted in my rifle and have been fine tuning it for about the last month. (I would have done it sooner, but Michigan weather has always been a pain) I am out to about 450yds with a 4 inch group. I zeroed it in at 200yds, so shooting beyond that am I just doing a hold over. I'm sure I could get a little better in the accuarcy department if I doped my scope for those ranges, but that's for a later date. So far I am very pleased with the performance of this scope and would recommend it to anyone looking for a scope under $400. I will post pictures the next time I go shooting. Thanks all and feel free to comment.

Re: KonusPRO M-30 series 8.5x-32x Review

It must be that companies starting out use the best they can afford and send the savings down to the customers, then after time invest in better technologies of lenses, coatings, etc. Because any and all Konus scopes I've looked through were a disaster. This was a couple years ago and haven't been back for any updated versions.
Also, reports are coming in about their spotters being a great value.
With my built in preconceptions about Konus it's difficult to reconsider their product line.
Glad that it's working out for you and you are getting such good results.

Yeah I was reading about their spotting scopes as well. Actually looking into picking one up from a Hide Member. You should see if someone you know has a Konus and take a look through it. You might be suprised. Who knows!

There's a Konus dealer at the gun shows most of the time. I'll have to give it another go. The view last time was somewhat bent in image and the color representation was off by a large degree. It felt like I was looking through a fish tank. They must have improved the lense coatings since then and for curiousity's sake I'll check them out next time.
