<span style="color: #993399">My name is Amy Thompson and I'm kind of new here at HDC.</span>

<span style="color: #993399">Just had Lowlight create a new profile for me and I wanted to introduce myself.</span>

Yeah, That's my shorty 700. Just a box stock PSS cut to 16" in a MCM A5. Easy recipe! Now it's one of my favorite guns.

168 A-max's at around 2450mv kill the crap out of pigs!... and other critters too.

Remington MARS. It's integral now! Opened screws up to 8-40 and bonded it to the action with JB weld.

NSV80's are nothing to mess around with.

You have a pretty low mount there.
Do you have a NV attachment that is so low?
NSV 600 or what? Or is the mount lower than the NV?

Hakan,

You're right. It is low, but the NSV80 tollerates a high degree of misalignment.

Zero and dope change slightly due to the bore-optical centerline distance being changed, but other than that, it works perfectly.

The NSV600 would be perfect for this application, but we don't have those to US specs yet.

Suppose it cant take that much missaligment?

Works great...

You are concentrating on the wrong numbers. Do not forget that it is not all about centerline distance because of the objective lens in the scope.

For example, tape over the top half of your objective lens and look through. You still get a fully round picture.

Also, with increased distance, the angle is not so severe. With the length of most scopes, NVG mounts are set further forward than they need to be. This leaves plenty of distance so the angle is not so severe.

In short, it works great. Used it in the abovementioned TTRH to shoot pigs. John has the photo to prove it!
